Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Strategic management is a modern approach to effective planning and administration. This study aims to examine the impact of strategic management on improving crisis management at Queen Alia International Airport by analyzing the significance of strategic management, its components, and its role in enhancing the airport’s crisis response. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology. A questioner was utilized to study the research sample and consisted of 139 respondents, focusing on assessing the level of awareness among airport employees regarding the importance of strategic management and the extent to which strategic principles are applied in planning and crisis management. The study yielded several findings, the most notable of which is that a significant portion of the sample lacks awareness of the importance of strategic management in crisis response. Additionally, the results revealed the absence of a clear vision at the airport for leveraging strengths and addressing weaknesses. Furthermore, the study found that the airport does not pay sufficient attention to carefully formulating strategic plans to address potential crises. Based on these findings, the study recommends implementing training and qualification programs for airport employees in strategic organization, developing comprehensive crisis management plans and programs, and continuously assessing and analyzing potential crises.
