Abstract: Network-enabled ideological and political education helps to break through the time and space limitations of traditional education, innovates the mode of ideological and political education, and is an innovative initiative to enhance the precision and effectiveness of ideological and political education. In order to further explore the hotspots, frontiers and trends of China's network ideological and political education research, we comprehensively use bibliometrics and information visualization techniques, and visualize and analyze the core journal literature on network ideological and political education with the help of CiteSpace software, so as to intuitively present a picture of the research on network ideological and political education in colleges and universities, including the annual number of articles published in the literature, the institutions, the distribution of authors and the cooperation mapping The keyword co-occurrence and clustering mapping, emergent word mapping, and so on. By sorting out the development lineage of ideological and political education research in colleges and universities, we gain insight into the research hotspots of college network ideological and political education and grasp the cutting-edge trend of college network ideological and political education research. Facing the future, the research on college network ideological and political education should focus on deepening the exploration at the level of basic theories, broadening and strengthening interdisciplinary research perspectives, and at the same time, enriching and perfecting the content and methods of empirical research.
