Abstract: The way individuals interact with one another and their surroundings has radically altered as a result of emerging technologies and virtual spaces, and has also had an impact on mental health. Although screens open doors to social interaction, productivity, and even therapeutic services like teletherapy, excessive use can lead to emotional and mental exhaustion, decreased face-to-face social interaction, and declining mental health. In this paper, screen activities are looked at from the perspective of teletherapy with both their risks and benefits. It delves into the neurobiological and behavioural consequences of extended screen use and advocates for digital mindfulness strategies, healthy disconnection, and policy-making favouring responsible technology use. Through the promotion of preventive measures and self-regulation, this study seeks to provide actionable recommendations for caregivers, educators, and policymakers to cultivate sustainable mental health in a digitally evolving world.
