Abstract: This research seeks to explore how varying concentrations of carbopol affect the physical attributes of an anti-lice shampoo derived from the ethanol extract of soursop (Annona mucirata L.) leaves. Soursop plants contain various chemical compounds like steroids, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and phenolics. The study employed a pre-experimental (one-shot case study) design. Different formulations of anti-lice shampoo were prepared with varying carbopol concentrations: F1 (1%), F2 (1.5%), and F3 (2%). The formulations were assessed based on their physical properties, which included an organoleptic test (shape, color, odor) and visual homogeneity. Measurements such as pH, viscosity, and foam height were analyzed using SPSS. The findings revealed that changing the carbopol concentration did not impact certain organoleptic properties (odor), homogeneity, or foam height, but did influence other organoleptic properties (shape and color), as well as pH and viscosity. The optimal formulation was with a 1% carbopol concentration, which met the standards with a slightly viscous texture, a brownish-green hue, a mint green tea aroma, was homogeneous, had a pH value of 6.86, a viscosity of 2717.66 cPas, and a foam height of 6.8 cm.
