Abstract: Paper soap is a solid soap that forms thin sheets resembling paper, so it has flexible and hygienic characteristics. Aloe vera extract (Aloe vera L. Burm. f), which contains flavonoids, tannins, and saponins, was used as an antibacterial. Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is one of the oil components containing dominant lauric acid, which can provide good foaming properties and solidify soap. This study aimed to determine the effect of variations in VCO concentration on the physical properties of aloe vera extract paper soap preparations (Aloe vera L. Burm. f.). The research method used was a pre-experimental one-shot case study. Paper soap was formulated into three formulas with concentration variations of 10%, 15%, and 20%. Physical properties testing includes organoleptic physical properties (color, smell, and shape), pH, foam height, water content, and washing time. The results show that variations in VCO concentration give organoleptical shape, pH, and foam height, but do not affect organoleptical color, organoleptical aroma, water content, and washing time. The best VCO concentrations that give the best physical characteristics of paper soap are 15% and 20%.
