Abstract: Household drug stora.ge should be ba.sed on correct knowledge, beca.use irra.tiona.l drug use ha.s nega.tive impa.cts. This study a.ims to eva.lua.te the a.mount of unused over-the-counter a.nd restricted over-the-counter drugs in the Drug Wa.ste Disposa.l Progra.m a.nd to estima.te the economic va.lue of unused drugs in the progra.m. This study employs a.n observa.tiona.l a.pproa.ch using descriptive a.na.lytica.l methods a.nd a. cross-sectiona.l resea.rch design. The da.ta. used were ta.ken from the Drug Wa.ste Disposa.l Progra.m a.t the Peka.nba.ru Food a.nd Drug Supervisory A.gency (BPOM) in 2019. The da.ta. collected included the na.me of the drug, dosa.ge form, dosa.ge strength, a.mount of rema.ining drug, a.nd price of the drug, which were then a.na.lyzed with Microsoft Excel 2019 to estima.te its economic va.lue. The over-the-counter a.nd restricted over-the-counter drugs tha.t ha.ve been collected in the Drug Wa.ste Disposa.l Progra.m in Peka.nba.ru a.re 33 drug items. Ba.sed on the dosa.ge form, 94.32% were solid dosa.ge forms, na.mely ta.blets, followed by 3.49% syrups a.nd 2.18% solution prepa.ra.tions. The most widely stored over-the-counter a.nd restricted over-the-counter drugs in households a.re drugs with the a.na.lgesic thera.py cla.ss a.t 19.94% with a.n economic va.lue of Rp. 82,861.
