Abstract: This paper presents information about the classification status of three species of exotic shrimp present in the Amazon region: Macrobrachium rosenbergii (De Man, 1879), Penaeus monodon Fabricius, 1798 and Mierspenaeopsis sculptilis (Heller, 1862). The research was based on bibliographic information available in scientific articles published by the Research Group on Fishing and Assessment of Tropical Fisheries Resources, the Crustacean Laboratory (LabCrus) and biological and photographic records. We emphasize that the current environmental classification status for M. rosenbergii and P. monodon is invasive species, while M. sculptilis is classified as an established species.
