The Effect of Low Temperatures on the Characteristics of Starter Batteries

Abstract: The article discusses the main aspects of the influence of low temperatures on the characteristics of starter batteries. Changes in the capacity, internal resistance, starting characteristics and other parameters of batteries during operation at low temperatures are analyzed. The results of experiments demonstrating a decrease in battery performance at subzero temperatures are presented. Recommendations are given on how to improve battery performance during the cold season.
