Colorectal Cancer Demystified | Signs, Risk Factors & How Early Detection Saves Lives

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the world. Colon cancer is rising in people under 50, and most don’t feel sick when they’re diagnosed. Colon cancer can show warning signs like painless blood in stool, sudden weight loss, tiredness, weakness, and changes in bathroom habits—especially important to notice in older adults. You should start getting checked for colon cancer at age 45. If someone in your family had it or you have other risks, your doctor might want you to start earlier. Early diagnosis and proper management of colorectal cancer can lead to successful treatment and complete recovery.
