Abstract: ABSTRACT Introduction: The completeness of nursing care documentation is a critical aspect in ensuring the quality of healthcare services and patient safety. However, many hospitals, including Siloam Hospitals Mataram, continue to face challenges in fully meeting documentation standards. Factors such as nurses’ knowledge levels, supervision, and compliance are suspected to influence documentation completeness. Objective: This study aims to explore the influence of nurses’ knowledge, supervision, and compliance on the completeness of nursing care documentation. Methods: This research is a literature review study by searching articles published between 2017 and 2024 in databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and EBSCO. Keywords used included “nursing documentation,” “knowledge,” “supervision,” and “compliance.” A rigorous selection process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria was conducted, resulting in 20 relevant articles for analysis. Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that adequate nursing knowledge, effective and structured supervision, and high compliance with standard operating procedures are strongly associated with complete nursing documentation. Key challenges identified include high workloads, lack of continuous training, and minimal routine evaluation of documentation. Therefore, interventions such as ongoing training and systematic supervision are recommended to improve the quality of nursing care documentation.
