Abstract: The article examines the theoretical basis of innovative changes in the management system occurring under digitalization conditions. It provides an essential characterization of innovative changes and the transformation of enterprise management systems, emphasizing the primacy of innovative changes in the management system that trigger a controlled process of its transformation. This transformation is based on convergent changes influenced by external and internal environmental factors, supported by a variety of innovative approaches, methods, and tools. It is argued that the economic essence of innovative changes has evolved due to the rapid development of information technologies and the digitalization of the business environment, which sets new challenges for management systems.
