Abstract: At the Professional Organization for Development's (POD) Annual Conference in Chicago in November 2024, I interviewed Sarah Rose Cavanagh, psychologist, professor, and senior associate director for Teaching and Learning at Simmons University, and author of The spark of learning: Energizing the college classroom with the science of emotion (WVU Press, 2016), and Mind over monsters: Supporting youth mental health with compassionate challenge (Beacon Press, 2023).
