The idea of this research was to highlight the arbitration provisions in the Saudi Personal Status Law, one of the most important judicial systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and compare them with Islamic jurisprudence. It also sought to explore the legal policy behind the regulations' choices. The research initially defined the terms of the title (arbitration, marital discord, and the Saudi Personal Status Law). The following issues were then examined in the Personal Status Law: (the ruling on the appointment of arbitrators, the authority for their appointment and the requirement of their kinship, their duties, their work when unable to reconcile, and the validity of their statements before the judiciary). Its legal provisions were then compared with Islamic jurisprudence. Among the most important findings: The Personal Status Law does not deviate from the established schools of thought of jurists in its provisions, and the Saudi Law does not adhere to a specific school of thought in its choices. The researcher discovered the legal policy of the Law, which is based on prioritizing the prevailing interest in its choices, since the guardian's conduct toward his subjects is contingent upon the latter's interests. Among the research's most prominent recommendations was the need to highlight the Saudi regulator's choices in the personal status system, establish their foundations, compare them to the schools of jurisprudence, and explore its judicial policy in this regard.
