Abstract: of the development of legal thought.Manifestations of polynomy are the synonymous richness of the legal vocabulary, the presence of polysemantic and stylistically colored lexemes, as well as the unclear differentiation of terminological meanings.Recorded in the dictionary of P. Biletskyi-Nosenko legal terms usually have one stem.The few complex formations mostly belong to the so-called paraterms, which, reflecting everyday legal сonsciousness, were irregularly used in legal texts, replacing special terminology.Phrasal terms occur extremely rarely in the monument as illustrative examples of individual vocables.By origin, the legal vocabulary of the dictionary is original, inherent primarily to the officially-business style of the Old Ukrainian language, as well as borrowed from foreign languages, primarily Polish.
