Sources of Gas Ionization in The Interacting Galaxy NGC 5278

Abstract: This paper analyzes spectral observations of the active interacting galaxy NGC 5278 obtained at the 6m telescope of the SAO RAS and taken from the open archive of MaNGA/SDSS integral-field spectroscopy. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the gas state based on the diagrams of the optical emission line flux ratios. It is shown that a significant contribution to the ionization of the interstellar medium comes from the radiation of the active nucleus, shock ionization, and the young stellar population.
