Scattering of Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Waves on A Black Hole

Abstract: A solution to the problem of the scattering of an electromagnetic wave in the gravitational field of a non-rotating uncharged black hole is given. The angular power spectrum of scattered electromagnetic waves has been found. It is shown that there is an effective absorption by the black hole of waves with a length comparable to the gravitational radius of the black hole.
