Abstract: The paper presents statistical modeling of asteroid entry into near-Earth space (NES) - a sphere with a radius of 0.01 AU around the Earth. Distributions of asteroids by direction and velocity of entry into NES are constructed. According to the modeling, the number of asteroids larger than 10 m entering NES is at least 1 000 per year and up to half of the objects entering NES from the daytime hemisphere. Typical velocities of approach to Earth upon entry into NES are approximately 7.5 km/s (velocity values range is 0 to 30 km/s). The results obtained may be useful in designing a system for detecting hazardous asteroids coming from the daytime sky.
