Evaluating the Effectiveness of Energy Efficiency Label on Purchase Intentions

Abstract: The Department of Energy (DOE) launched the Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP) under the Energy Efficiency Conservation Act. The program aims to promote the adoption of energy-efficient appliances by using energy labels at points of sale. With PELP's introduction, a new Philippine Energy label was introduced. Previous studies employed surveys, and only a handful have incorporated an eye tracker to determine the elements or information respondents focused on when interacting with an energy label.
