Abstract: The interstellar medium is multicomponent. These components have different physical properties, often different chemical compositions, and manifest themselves differently in different ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum. To obtain a sufficiently complete picture of the characteristics of different components of the interstellar medium, complex studies in different bands are necessary. This review examines observational manifestations of the interstellar medium in different bands with examples of such complex studies.
