Abstract: The reforms currently being implemented in the educational system and the demands placed on general education by society have set new goals and objectives for both the training of specialists and their continuous development and improvement during their professional activities. Accordingly, the standards of professional development and improvement of public school teachers have also changed. In this context, the quality of teachers' professional development and improvement is determined by the development of their professional development strategies and models, the formation of internal stable motivations and attitudes towards pedagogical activity, the continuous development and enrichment of methodological and professional knowledge, the assimilation of new methods and technologies, advanced experience and their constant renewal. The above arguments indicate that at the present stage of educational reforms and innovations it is necessary to reconsider the content of general education, strategy, forms, means, procedures, teaching methods, forms, means, procedures, management principles, functions, methods of managed school subsystems, to identify ways and means of realizing a person’s free choice, development of his abilities and capabilities in accordance with the provisions of the new pedagogy presented to the teacher, 21st century skills and modern requirements for the digitalization of education.
