Abstract: . In modern conditions, the development of the education sector deserves special attention. This is due to the fact that this particular segment of the economy is of great strategic importance. It is at this level that not only the formation of professionals and specialists in certain fields of activity takes place, but also the formation of a mentally, physically, morally and spiritually healthy personality. At the same time, if earlier the key indicators of the effectiveness and efficiency of educational activities were the number of graduates of a particular institution, region, now the focus has shifted to the quality of education. In the context of the introduction of federal state educational standards at different levels, educational outcomes have begun to play a special role. In the scientific literature, there are many different points of view on the essence and content of this term. In this article, the author systematized some of them, on the basis of which he identified the key varieties and structural components. In order for the quality of educational results to be at a sufficiently high level, it is necessary to develop an effective system for their assessment. To do this, it is necessary to ensure the objectivity of the assessment, balance, and focus on evaluating the key characteristics of the quality of students' training. The author dwelt in sufficient detail on issues related to the analysis of the system of work with educational institutions in which low learning outcomes were revealed. The risk factors that lead to poor learning outcomes are identified. As a result, conclusions and recommendations were formulated on how to interact with educational institutions of this group in order to increase their effectiveness.
