The Active Longevity in Agenda of State Demographic Policy of Countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States

Abstract: The article considers becoming and development of concept of active longevity in the state demographic policy of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). On the basis of analysis of program documents, strategies and institutional mechanisms of the CIS member states, common characteristics and national peculiarities of implementation of policy related to the aging population are identified. The special attention is paid to issues of institutionalization of approach to active longevity, as well as to role of interstate cooperation in promoting age-friendly agenda.
