Abstract: The present study seeks to investigate the historical trajectory of gastronomic tourism, clarify the conceptual foundations of the term gastro-tourism, and examine its interrelations with other tourism typologies. Particular attention is devoted to distinguishing between the notions of gastronomy and culinary arts, culminating in the development of a comparative analytical model.
