Abstract: In this study, the researcher gives the reader a brief introduction about his study; the study problem, so this study tries to answer the following questions: 1-To what extent is media related to linguistics branches especially pragmatics? 2- What are the main sub-divisions of pragmatics that are frequently used in media? 3-What are the main sub-divisions of media (written text / spoken text) that frequently use pragmatics and its main branches such as presupposition, entertainment, contexts and Implicature etc.? The main aims of this paper are: 1.Explaining to what extent media is related to linguistics branches especially pragmatics. 2. Examining the main sub-divisions of pragmatics that are frequently used in media. 3. Investigating the main sub-divisions of media (written text / spoken text) that frequently use pragmatics and its main branches such as presupposition, entertainment, contexts and implicature etc.
