Abstract: Background: Clinical practice is pivotal in nursing education, driving student learning and skill development during clinical placements. Its effective implementation can significantly enhance clinical competence remarkably. Objective: The study aims to assess student nurses’ satisfaction with their clinical learning environment in a private nursing college in Sylhet, examining supervisory guidance, resource constraints, and placement opportunities for improvement. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive design was employed at a selected private nursing college in Sylhet. Data were collected using a semi-structured questionnaire administered via non-probability sampling. Responses were analyzed descriptively using SPSS version 26.9. The instrument evaluated demographic details, clinical practice experiences, supervisory support, and the use of logbooks to monitor performance and assessed overall student satisfaction with calculated percentage distributions. Results: Out of 300 participants, 83.7% were female and 16.3% male. Among respondents, 59.7% were pursuing a B.Sc. in Nursing while 40.3% were enrolled in a Diploma program. A significant majority (99.3%) acknowledged the importance of clinical practice. However, 41% reported inadequate guidelines from supervisors, contrasting with 59% who noted sufficient support. Additionally, 59% expressed satisfaction with their clinical practice, 27% remained neutral, and 14% were dissatisfied. Moreover, only 37% maintained logbooks for tracking performance, compared to 63% who did not, underscoring a need for improved documentation practices. Calculated data emphasize the critical role of clinical documentation improvements immediately. Conclusion: Enhanced clinical placements, systematic supervision, and improved documentation are essential to boost nursing students’ satisfaction. Strategic recruitment and structured guidelines are recommended to elevate clinical learning outcomes and performance overall.
