Abstract: Museums are cultural institutions where artifacts, objects, or exhibits of material and spiritual, historical value belonging to the people are preserved and at the same time displayed to the public. They serve the function of educating and informing society.Although in certain historical periods museums were not accessible to the general public, over time they have become public spaces where every citizen can freely enter, explore, and even conduct academic research. This function gains particular significance when a museum is devoted to preserving a nation's moral and spiritual values, artistic spirit, and historical legacy; when it serves the discovery and collection of the works of poets and writers regarded as national treasures. In such a case, the museum becomes a matter of great importance for the cultural and intellectual development of a societyjust as is the case with the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.
