Passion, personal benefits of passion, and well-being in students of pedagogical and teaching departments
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: The study had two objectives: 1) to characterise passion and personal benefits of passion in university students; 2) to analyse the relationships between personal benefits of passion, type of passion and well-being in students of pedagogical and teaching departments. The personal benefits of passion differ, depending on the specific type of passionate activity they pursue. It was found that students of pedagogical and teaching departments perceive personal benefits of passion regardless of its type (harmonious, obsessive), however the mediating role of these benefits is found only in accounting for the relationship between harmonious passion and psychological well-being and life satisfaction.
