Abstract: A previous Ge-Bu article discussed the effectiveness of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and flash glucose monitoring (FGM) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, based on a meta-analysis. This update discusses a recent randomised trial on the effectiveness of (real-time) CGM for patients with insufficiently controlled, insulin-treated type 2 diabetes mellitus.
