ESG Factors Integration in Business Models: In the Context of Sustainable Growth and Digital Innovation

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Human activity continues to negatively affect the environment, significantly leading to the depletion of natural resources and the degradation of ecosystems. In this context, transformation toward sustainable development has become an urgent issue. Business plays a central role in these changes, as it can actively contribute to environmental protection by investing in technological and procedural innovations and developing innovative business models that enhance sustainability. A sustainable business model considers the integration of economic, environmental, and social challenges as the foundation for business implementation. In some cases, corporate interests are subordinated to the interests of society and nature. These models adopt a systemic approach that accounts for all stakeholders, including the social and environmental factors that affect and are affected by corporate activity. Research indicates that sustainable business models can significantly reduce the environmental impact.
