Abstract: With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, its impact on higher vocational education has become increasingly significant, especially in the field of higher vocational English teaching. By analyzing the innovative cases of AI technology empowering teachers in teaching ability competitions, this paper reveals its potential and value in practical application. At the same time, this paper deeply probes into the specific data in the implementation process and proposes corresponding solutions to the problems encountered. It not only improves the technological content of the competition, but more importantly, through the deep integration of vocational English and artificial intelligence technology, it strengthens the students’ vocational English application ability and practical skills, and realizes the goal of “Competition and Teaching Integration” and “close integration of job requirements with the content of the competition”.
