Abstract: This article examines the role of metrology and legal support for the uniformity of measurement. It considers the importance of metrology as a science of measurements, specifies the basic terms and principles, such as calibration, verification and use of standards. It also emphasizes the importance of national legislation and international standards in ensuring the comparability of measurements at the global level. The study aims to identify key points that contribute to improving the quality of measurements and increasing confidence in the results, which is fundamental for scientific research and practice.
