Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing psychiatry, offering innovative tools for diagnosis, treatment, and patient monitoring. From machine learning-driven diagnostics to AI-powered chatbots, these technologies enhance accessibility and efficiency in mental health care. However, AI’s integration into psychiatry presents critical ethical and clinical challenges, including algorithmic biases, data privacy concerns, and the risk of diminishing human empathy in therapeutic relationships. This editorial explores the transformative potential of AI in psychiatry while emphasizing the need for ethical frameworks and responsible implementation. Striking a balance between technological advancements and human-centered care is essential for AI to become a reliable ally in psychiatric practice.
