Abstract: Purpose: Porcine islet xenotransplantation has been limited by the lack of a clinically applicable immunosuppressive regimen. It has been previously shown that depletional induction is important in xenotransplantation. Here, we tested four depletional induction strategies alongside a clinically applicable belatacept based maintenance regimen in a non-human primate model of islet xenotransplantation.
