Minimal Impact of Anti-BAFF mAb on B Cell Depletion, Repopulation, DSA Production, and Graft Survival in Highly Sensitized NHP Recipients

Type: article
Abstract: Purpose: Desensitization with proteasome inhibition and costimulation blockade reduced preformed alloantibody and prolonged graft survival in sensitized nonhuman primate (NHP) recipients, mirroring the challenges faced by highly sensitized patients awaiting renal transplantation. In our previous study, additional B cell depletion did not further extend graft as B cell repopulation led to renewed DSA production Here, we evaluated anti-BAFF mAb to reshape B cell during homeostatic repopulation and modulate post-transplant humoral responses.
