It Matters Who is in Your Inner Circle: Exploring the Association Between Social Capital and Kidney Transplant Outcomes

Abstract: Purpose: Biliary complications, including strictures and leaks, remain a significant challenge in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT), often leading to increased morbidity and mortality. Traditional duct-to-duct (D/D) anastomosis techniques have variable outcomes depending on donor and recipient anatomy. We present a prospective analysis of a refined D/D anastomosis technique designed to optimize bile duct vascularity and reduce complications.
