Efficacy and Safety of Pemivibart Monoclonal Antibody Prophylaxis in Immunocompromised Transplant Patients: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Purpose: Immunocompromised patients, particularly solid organ transplantation (SOT) recipients, are at increased risk of severe COVID-19. Pemivibart, a monoclonal antibody targeting the class 1/4 receptor-binding domain in the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, received emergency use authorization from the FDA for pre-exposure prophylaxis against COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients. However, data on its efficacy and safety in SOT recipients remain limited. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of pemivibart in SOT patients.
