Abstract: Purpose: Anxiety and depression are common illnesses in the US population, and can contribute to mortality. Among kidney transplant (KT) recipients, these diseases can interfere with adherence to immunosuppressant regimens or access to follow-up care. We evaluated risk factors for de novo diagnosis of anxiety and depression in the first two years post-KT, in a large national electronic health record database.
