Telemedicine Services for Rural and Non-Rural Kidney Transplant Patients in the United States
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Purpose: Non-rural residents risk losing access to Medicare telemedicine services, lacking Congressional permanent action. This encompasses kidney transplant recipients in the U.S., an immunocompromised population requiring lifelong follow-up care. We assessed the impact of potential expiration of telemedicine flexibilities to the pre-pandemic regulations on non-rural kidney transplant recipients.
