Abstract: Purpose: Many clinical decisions in kidney transplantation can be optimized when post-transplant survival is considered in tandem with its counterfactual - waitlist survival. While the former is routinely assessed using KDPI and EPTS, no equivalent model to predict waitlist survival exists. We aimed to develop accurate, bedside-applicable prediction models for waitlist survival using machine learning and parametric survival models.
