Abstract: Purpose: While the endothelium is a well-known target of rejection, specific assessment of graft endothelium has been difficult. Prior studies have shown limited endothelial repopulation in ABO and sex mismatched kidney allografts. Here we take advantage of a unique opportunity in xenografts to demonstrate acquisition of recipient molecules in the graft endothelium.
