Influence of the Blockage of TNFα and Its Receptors on Bregs-TLR-Induced Allograft Survival
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Purpose: Previous studies from the laboratory have shown that regulatory B cells induced ex-vivo via TLR4/9 signaling (Bregs-TLR) suppressed naïve B and T cell proliferation. Transferred TNF-α-/- Bregs-TLR failed to promote islet allograft survival in any recipients. Given the importance of TNF-α and its receptors (CD120a/CD120b) in tissue inflammation and its involvement in immunoregulatory pathways, the present study aims at evaluating the importance of TNF-α/CD120a/CD120b axis in Bregs-TLR-induced allograft survival.
