Abstract: Purpose: Long-term engagement with living kidney donors (LKDs) in research settings is limited. It is critical to identify 1) methods to maximize LKD recruitment for health outcomes research studies and 2) research questions that are meaningful to LKDs. We created an NIH funded Living Donor Research Advisory Council (LDRAC) to enhance an upcoming retrospective study investigating long-term outcomes for living kidney donors and to improve future research endeavors.
