Uji Degradasi Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP) sebagai Zat Aditif Plastik oleh Kapang Plastisphere yang Diisolasi dari Pantai Marunda, Jakarta
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The rising global production of plastics has intensified the use of environmentally hazardous plasticizers, such as phthalic acid esters (PAEs), including the toxicologically significant diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP). This study investigated the DIBP degradation potential of seven plastisphere-derived fungal isolates (Aspergillus, Penicillium, Stachybotrys, and Trichoderma spp.) from plastic waste on Marunda Beach, Jakarta, evaluating their production of key extracellular enzymes (esterase, lipase, manganese peroxidase, laccase), DIBP tolerance via Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) assays, and degradation efficiency using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Following qualitative enzyme screening, four selected isolates exhibited high DIBP tolerance (MIC = 6400–12800 ppm) and achieved >50% degradation, demonstrating significant potential for bioremediating PAE-contaminated.
