The findings associated with showed that there was significant difference with students who reported higher level of parenting style scores as male students than female students. It was found that there is no significant difference in the scores of decision-making among the parents based on gender since gender is not a significant predictor in terms of parenting perception by adolescents whereby males reported more supportive or effective parenting techniques as compared to females. It was also found out that there was a statistically significant disparity in decision making abilities between the adolescents depending on the parenting style. An adolescent whose parenting style is permissive had the highest mean score of decision making compared to those with authoritative and authoritarian style.
