Abstract: Epoxy-based adhesives are widely used in various industries, including electronics, automotive manufacturing, aviation, and shipbuilding.Their popularity is due to their outstanding technical properties. The enhancement of such adhesives is possible through nanotechnology. In this study, nanocomposites based on epoxy resins were developed, and their mechanical properties were analyzed.Graphene oxide nanoparticles were used as an additive, and their impact on the epoxy matrix and its mechanical characteristics was thoroughly examined. The nanocomposites were produced using the solution mixing method followed by hot crystallization. The obtained samples were tested for tensile fracture, impact resistance during sliding, and infrared (IR) spectroscopy analysis. The results demonstrated that the addition of graphene oxide nanoparticles to the epoxy matrix improves its mechanical properties.A comprehensive study investigated the influence of graphene oxide nanoparticles on the mechanical properties of composite materials based on duralumin and steel plates. The research focused on optimizing the weight percentages of epoxy resin (ED-20), maleic anhydride (a common curing agent for epoxy resins, enhancing adhesion and crosslinking), and graphene oxide to achieve superior material performance.Across both duralumin and steel substrates, the optimal formulation consistently involved a blend of 100 wt.% ED-20 epoxy resin, 20 wt.% maleic anhydride, and 8 wt.% graphene oxide
