Vaccination in patients suffering from diabetes – from international guidelines to Romanian health insurance system

Abstract: Patients with chronic diseases must be protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. CDC and ECDC guidelines specify which vaccines are recommended for each chronic disease, including diabetes. At a national level, the Health Ministry takes over these recommendations by establishing vaccines and the level of compensation for the category of patients with diabetes.
