Abstract: Blood from the left ventricle goes to the aorta, which carries blood to all tissues. The aortic valve is located exactly between the left ventricle and the aorta. The task of this valve is to prevent blood from returning back from the aorta to the heart. In the case of narrowing of the aortic valve, less blood enters the aorta and goes to the rest of the body. The choice of treatment primarily depends on the presence of symptoms and the severity of aortic stenosis, but also on the age of the patient, the presence of associated diseases and the general state of health.
