The Renewal and Protection of the Liyuan District in Qingdao from the Perspective of Cultural Inheritance—Taking the Sifang Road Historical District in Qingdao City as an Example

Abstract: 党的十九大作出了“坚定文化自信，推动社会主义文化繁荣兴盛”的重大部署，同时，文化传承与遗产保护对城市建设提出了新的要求。历史文化街区是历史文化名城保护的重要内容，也是地域文化和集体记忆的空间载体，青岛里院是伴随着青岛历史变迁而形成的一种特殊的建筑形式，里院街区见证了青岛的变迁，承载着老一辈青岛人的集体记忆。本文从城市文化传承的角度入手，总结了青岛里院街区的发展现状和文化价值，并选取了四方路历史街区这一历史最悠久、里院最集中、最具代表性的里院街区，针对其发展困境提出了文脉修复、业态激活和活水引入的更新策略，以此激活四方路历史街区的文化记忆，唤醒街区活力。The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made a major deployment of “strengthening cultural confidence and promoting the prosperity and flourishing of socialist culture”. Meanwhile, cultural inheritance and heritage protection have put forward new requirements for urban construction. Historical and cultural blocks are an important part of the protection of historical and cultural cities and also the spatial carriers of regional culture and collective memory. Qingdao Liyuan is a special architectural form that has formed along with the historical changes of Qingdao. Liyuan blocks have witnessed the changes of Qingdao and carry the collective memory of the older generation of Qingdao people. This article starts from the perspective of urban cultural inheritance, summarizes the current development status and cultural value of the Liyuan district in Qingdao, and selects the Sifang Road Historical District, which has the longest history, the most concentrated Liyuan, and is the most representative Liyuan district. In response to its development predicament, it proposes renewal strategies such as cultural context restoration, business format activation, and the introduction of fresh water, in order to activate the cultural memory of the Sifang Road Historical District, and awaken the vitality of the neighborhood.
