Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study explores how the relationship between industrial policy and competition law is shifting, with the two increasingly working together to achieve broader economic and strategic aims. Drawing on an analysis of over 2,500 industrial policy interventions using advanced language processing tools, it highlights key differences between techno-nationalist and techno-globalist approaches and their impact on competition. The study also identifies significant differences across jurisdictions, emphasising the role of ideological frameworks in shaping policy compatibility.
