Abstract: To explore the effects of 3D printed guide plate-assisted minimally invasive endoscopic foramina surgery on lumbar function and the levels of 6-keto-PGF1α and IL-6 in patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. A total of 120 patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion in our hospital from October 2022 to December 2024 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional foraminal endoscopic surgery, while the observation group was treated with minimally invasive foraminal endoscopic surgery assisted by 3D printing guide plates. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, number of punctures, number of fluoroscopy sessions, complication rates such as dural tear, and the improvement of JOA score were compared between the two groups of patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. The operation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the complication rates such as intraoperative blood loss, puncture frequency, fluoroscopy frequency, and dural tear were all lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The improvements in JOA score, 6-keto-PGF1α, and IL-6 levels were all better than those of the control group (P<0.05). 3D printed guide plate-assisted transforaminal endoscopic minimally invasive surgery for patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion is more conducive to improving the lumbar function of patients and promoting the improvement of 6-keto-PGF1α and IL-6 levels.
